The Art of Evangelism

Evangelism is not merely an event, a personality trait, or a technique. It is the overflow of a Christ-centered life lived among people with gospel intentionality.

The Art of Evangelism is a 22-week course designed to form ordinary believers who understand the gospel deeply, communicate it clearly, and courageously participate in Christ’s mission. Students will learn how to make evangelism part of their everyday relationships while also gaining practical experience in personal conversations, public outreach, follow-up, and discipleship.

Throughout the course, students will explore:

  • The biblical meaning, message, and necessity of evangelism
  • The respective roles of the believer and the Holy Spirit
  • How to explain the gospel clearly from Scripture
  • How to begin and navigate gospel conversations
  • Biblical communication, listening, and body language
  • How assurance and eternal security relate to gospel clarity
  • Personal, relational, and open-air evangelism
  • Practical tools for communicating the gospel
  • How to understand and engage different cultures and religious beliefs
  • How evangelists can serve pastors and local churches
  • How to develop an evangelistic culture within the church
  • The relationship between evangelism, apologetics, follow-up, and discipleship

This is not simply a course to complete; it is training to practice. Students will read, watch, pray, memorize Scripture, participate in class discussions and role-playing, share the gospel with others, reflect on their experiences, and develop a practical plan for strengthening evangelism within their local church.

The goal is not merely that students know more about evangelism, but that they become faithful, prayerful, and increasingly confident witnesses who can help others do the same.
