E4:12 exists to catalyze a movement of Jesus-style disciple makers who strengthen, start, and support churches in SW Michigan and beyond. We do this through collaborative training, funding, and support. We believe that in order to make a difference that can’t be ignored, kingdom collaboration is vital! We have a deep heart for gospel partnership. Partnership in the gospel is a gift of God’s grace and it is something to steward with wisdom and humility.
If you are a church that values gospel-centrality and has a heart to unleash God’s people for God’s purpose of multiplying transformed disciples, E4:12 may be a good partnership for you. What would partnership look like?
Pray
As the early church prayed, we read in Acts 4:33, “much grace was upon them all.”
These early believers knew that prayer was necessary for the accomplishment of God’s purpose in the world.
If we are going to unleash men and women for God’s purposes, if we are going to fill where we live, learn, work, and play with the power and presence of God, if we are going to multiply transformed disciples and strengthen and establish churches, we need prayer warriors.

We know that pastoring is difficult and often lonely. In recent studies, the rate of pastoral burnout is only increasing. But healthy churches are led by healthy leaders. Knowing both the reality of pastoral ministry and the importance of pastoral health, E4:12 is committed to making sure our pastors never feel isolated and/or unsupported. We aim to see all of our pastors equipped and encouraged in the following areas:
- Pastors’ Retreats
- Conference and Training Events
- One-on-One Coaching for Pastors
- Developing a Leadership Pathway
- Developing a Discipleship Pathway
- Conflict Management
I love to dream and ponder and pray about what we can accomplish for the kingdom of God and then to diagram steps we need to take to achieve it all. I love to sit with others who want to glorify God and have been given creative gifts from God to craft plans and strategies for the advancement of the cause of Christ. I can walk away from such conversations energized and full of zeal in my heart for God to bless our work for His name’s sake. But nowhere in Scripture has God promised to bless my plans or your plans, no matter how creative or innovative or passionate they might be. There is only one thing that God has promised to bless – and that is His plan. It is not for us to pick and choose but to join the revolution, to join the movement and help others do the same. His mission determines the direction of our lives and our church. If we want His blessing, His power, His glory, and His joy – we must align with God’s plan.
That is why E4:12 exists. It is an intentional plan to do what God has commanded us to do in Ephesians 4:12 and the following verses. We are striving with all of His energy to turn Christians into Jesus-style disciple makers who transform where they live, learn, work, play, and worship, and who, over time, strengthen, start, and support churches. Will you partner with us as we seek to unleash the people of God for the purposes of God?
