I was led to Christ by my youth pastor in 1969. Through the influence of a mission trip while in high school, God began to work in my heart concerning being a pastor or missionary. While I had been thinking for several years about being a forest ranger, I realized that I would not be content doing anything else than serving Christ in vocational ministry. With that conviction in mind, I graduated from Cedarville University and Grand Rapids Theology with an M.Div. While in college, God brought Sharon into my life, and we were married in 1977. In 2000, I gained certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). I have the privilege of 40 years of pastoral experience. It is an ongoing joy to read, study, and teach God’s Word.
